Andy Kaufman (1949-1984)

Έζησε μόνο τριάντα πέντε χρόνια, ήταν αρκετά όμως για να αφήσουν ένα στίγμα στις επόμενες γενιές. Ο Andy Kaufman καυτιρίαζε τα πάντα με τον δικό του μοναδικό τρόπο. Κανείς δεν καταλάβαινε πότε έκανε πλάκα και πότε μιλούσε σοβαρά. Ούτε καν η οικογένεια του τον πίστεψε όταν τους ανακοίνωσε πως έχει καρκίνο στον πνεύμονα.

Η ζωή του ήταν ένα ατελείωτο αστείο.. Ο Anty και ο Tony Clifton (ένας χαρακτήρας που υποδυόταν ο Andy) ήταν δύο διαφορετικά άτομα με διαφορετικούς χαρακτήρες.. Απλά κάποιος έκανε το λάθος να τους βάλει στο ίδιο σώμα! Ο Andy έκανε να ξεκαρδιστεί το κοινό του Saturday Night Live, του Late Night with David Letterman, και πολλών άλλων αμερικάνικων θεαμάτων. Γνωστός έγινε από την σειρά Taxi που έλαβε χώρα στο κανάλι ABC το 1978.

Ο Andy αγαπούσε πολύ την ζωή του, και ας μην τον καταλάβαινε κανείς. Γνώριζε πως ο θάνατος του πλησίαζε αλλά δεν το έβαζε κάτω, χαμογελούσε και τραγουδούσε για να διασκεδάσει τους ανθρώπους που θα συνέχιζαν αυτό το μαγικό ταξίδι, την ζωή..

Μακάρι να αγαπήσουμε και εμείς τόσο τον κόσμο.. Να δούμε αυτό που είδε και ένιωθε τόσο χαρούμενος..

Για τον Andy Kaufman γράφτηκε το γνωστό τραγούδι των REM - Man on the moon. Επίσης έχει γυριστεί και ταινία με τον ίδιο τίτλο και με πρωταγωνιστή τον Jim Carrey.
